Watty Watts (Gil Bellows) and his fiancé Starlene (Renée Zellweger) are young couple in love and planning a robbery of a convenience store along with Watts’ drug-addict friend, Billy Mack Black (Rory Cochrane). 

The robbery plan fails and turns into a murder and the trio is now on a run  from the law. 

Heading for Mexico, they the young couples become the media favorites and along their way they meet a lot of quirky characters, including Starlene’s parents, Vergil (Peter Fonda) and Thaylene (Ann Wedgeworth).

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation is the sequel to Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III and also known as The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. 

Four teenagers, Jenny (Renée Zellweger), Sean (John Harrison), Heather (Lisa Marie Newmyer) and Barry (Tyler Cone) are on their way home from a senior prom but get into car accident in the Texas woods.  

Trying to get some help, they come in contact with a family living in a ramschackly farmhouse in the woods. 

The family turns out to be cannibalistic psychopaths and among them are Vilmer (Matthew McConaughey), W.E. (Joe Stevens), Darla (Tonie Perensky) and Leatherface (Robert Jacks).

Barry and Sean are killed quickly and Heather shortly after, but Jenny actively resists her tormentors.  But will she make it?

Empire Records is the name of a small record shop where the cynical Joe Reaves (Anthony LaPaglia) is the manager and the employees are local teenagers who love to work there and think they have the coolest job in world.

The movie features the music of Ezra, Gin Blossoms, Evan Dando, Ape Hangers, Toad The Wet Sprocket and The Cranberries and portrays lots of colorful characters.  We meet Lucas (Rory Cochrane) and Warren (Brendan Sexton III), AJ (Johnny Withworth) who is in love with Corey (Liv Tyler) and Corey who is in love with Rex (Maxwell Caulfield), Debra  (Robin Tunney) who shaves her head because she is tired of being invisible, and Gina (Renée Zellweger) who wants to become a band-singer but doesn’t think she has the guts to do it.

One night, Lucas is asked to close down the store unsupervised but while he is at it, he discovers that Empire Records is on the edge of being converted to a chain store called Music Town.  In an attempt to save the store, Lucas decides to take the day’s profit to Atlantic City, but ends up he losing it all.

When the other teenage employees arrive for work the day after, they discover what Lucas has done and it seems that Joe has no other option than to go along with his music store being incorporated in to Music Town.  The employees of Empire Records are running out of time and if the store is to be saved, they must think of a way to raise enough money …

The Whole Wide World takes place in the 1930s and is based on the memoirs of  Novalyne Price Ellis from her book: “One Who Walked Alone: Robert E. Howard, The Final Years”. 

Renée Zellweger is Novalyne Price Ellis (1908 – 1999), a schoolteacher in Texas.  Novalyne is shy, but wants to become a writer and a friend offers to introduce her to the pulp fiction writer Robert E. Howard (Vincent D’Onofrio) who was the creator of “Conan the Barbarian”.

Novalyne initially wants Howard’s advice and opinion on her writings, but despite personality differences and misunderstandings, they have common interests and gravitate to each other.

Novalyne likes Howard and he seems to like her, although she finds him a difficult man to deal with.   Howard lives in his world of his stories about superhuman heroes and in addition does his bedridden mother take much of his time, which leaves him little time for romance …

Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a successful sports agent who is willing to do almost anything to get good contracts for his clients.   But the stress and the workload that comes with his job, cause Jerry to wonder what kind of person he has become.  

The workload brings Jerry close to a nervous breakdown, but suddenly he gets an idea or a breakthrough. 

His breakthrough is a future suggestion for the company he is working for and how the dishonesty that he feels is predominant in the sports management business, should be corrected.   The keystones in his suggestion are improving personal relationship with clients and having fewer clients. 

Jerry decides to write down his suggestion in a statement called ” The Things We  Think And Do Not Say” and then copy exemplars of it and distribute to his colleagues.   Jerry’s colleagues are touched by his honesty and applaud him, but the top management is not and Jerry gets fired. 

After Jerry is fired, he decides to starts his own management agency and invites his co-workers to go with him.  No one, except the single mother Dorothy Boyd (Renée Zellweger) dare to take his offer.

And now Jerry must proof that the idea in his statements will hold.  Starting a new company is hard, especially since Jerry’s former co-worker, Bob Sugar (Jay Mohr) enlisted most of his former clients.  Still, Jerry manages to convince the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding, Jr.), to follow him to the new business.   Rod is now Jerry’s only client and he turns out to be a quite demanding and difficult one …

The trailer from the movie Deceiver (Liar in UK release) has been added to this site.  Deceiver is a murder mystery movie, where Renée Zellweger plays a prostitute named Elizabeth who is murdered and found cut in two peaches in a local park.  A highly intelligent and arrogant inheritor of a textile company is suspected of the murder, but when he is brought in for questioning, he soon manage to invert the roles in the interrogation.  To read more about this movie or to watch the trailer, click here.

The trailer from the 1998 movie, A Price Above Rubies isn’t available, but two scenes from the movie have been added to this site.  Renée Zellweger plays a young Brooklyn woman, Sonia Horowitz who is married into a Jewish community and finds it hard to adapt to the restrictive rituals.  The movie is written and directed by Boaz Yakin, who is a son of Jewish parents himself.  To read more  about this movie or to watch the scenes, click here.
