jerry-maguire-posterJerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a successful sports agent who is willing to do almost anything to get good contracts for his clients.   But the stress and the workload that comes with his job, cause Jerry to wonder what kind of person he has become.

The workload brings Jerry close to a nervous breakdown, but suddenly he gets an idea or a breakthrough.

His breakthrough is a future suggestion for the company he is working for and how the dishonesty that he feels is predominant in the sports management business, should be corrected.   The keystones in his suggestion are improving personal relationship with clients and having fewer clients.

jerry-mcguireJerry decides to write down his suggestion in a statement called ” The Things We  Think And Do Not Say” and then copy exemplars of it and distribute to his colleagues.   Jerry’s colleagues are touched by his honesty and applaud him, but the top management is not and Jerry gets fired.

After Jerry is fired, he decides to starts his own management agency and invites his co-workers to go with him.  No one, except the single mother Dorothy Boyd (Renée Zellweger) dare to take his offer.
